Geekery

OK, I'll admit that this looks pretty damn cool:

But, then again, I'm the target audience. I wonder wha tthe general public will think of this?

After seeing the trailer (such that it was) for Star Trek, I actually want to see it (I hated the show as a kid and have never seen any of the films).

That said, after the cool Trekkiness, came Cloverfield, and now I want to punch JJ Abrams.

Also, I guess you can't comment on the Twitter thing, which frankly I'm still not sure I understand.

Anyway, I have the latest LCD Soundsystem if you want it.

Yeah, I think this Star Trek flick is being made for the people who know that there's Kirk and Spock and know nothing else. The hardcore fans are all going to have coronaries. I just hope it's good.

Also, I got the LCD Soundsystem, from my library of all places. it's not as good as I wanted it to be. I think that's because everyone told me it was so good, it would have to have been Jesus to live up to it.

Well, I thought it was okay, but obviously I wasn't attached to it as I was willing to send it your way.

I did see them open for Arcade Fire here and the singer dude was fairly endearing.

i think it's really funny they're trying to do some viral marketing for star trek. abrams seems to have a schtick.
